Mascot & brand sheet

WHO IS FOO?

Foo the Yap. SayWhat’s mascot and resident big mouth. A little chaotic. A lot helpful.

Foo is the part of you that talks too fast, jumps topics, and still somehow knows what you meant. In a world of coding agents that execute before they understand, he needed a mouthpiece that compiles — so he built one.

Origin

WHY THE BIG MOUTH?

Foo talks a lot because his brain is a firehose. Ideas arrive as half-sentences, sticky notes, and “uhh yeah” energy. That isn’t a bug in the character — it’s the human default when you’re excited and short on time.

He’s incoherent the way real prompts are incoherent: goals mixed with vibes, constraints buried in jokes, brand colors mentioned once and forgotten. Agents hear all of it and still have to act. Without a compile step, they guess.

So Foo built a compiler mouthpiece — not to become quieter, but to become legible. SayWhat is that mouthpiece: it catches the yap, asks sharper questions when needed, and emits an execution-ready assignment before the agent starts moving files around.

That’s why Foo belongs on SayWhat. The product isn’t “write better prompts.” It’s “keep your messy brain — add a pre-execution compiler.” Foo is the messy brain. The compiler is the help.

Why it matters now

AGENTS EXECUTE.
THEY DON’T WAIT.

Coding agents are strong at doing and weak at refusing incomplete intent. In today’s AI workflow, a big mouth without a compiler wastes tokens, burns context, and ships the wrong thing confidently. Foo’s mouthpiece exists so the first serious action happens after the assignment is clear — not while he’s still mid-yap.

  • Keep Foo cream/white with tomato-orange ear tips and black outlines.
  • Pair Foo with messy → clear metaphors (scribble cloud to speech bubble).
  • Credit “Foo the Yap” / SayWhat when used in press or partner posts.
  • Leave breathing room; don’t crop through the mouth or ear tufts.

  • Don’t make Foo the product. He is the yap; SayWhat is the compiler.
  • Don’t invent features Foo “ships” that the product does not offer.
  • Don’t stretch, mirror, or add drop-shadow stacks that fight the line art.
